Bought a 1000W 4 channel BOSS amp #R2504 on sale at Pep Boys for 80 bucks. Still didn't work on the Fosgate sub. Still distorted and messed up. Was tripping the circuit protection on the amp. I guess that sub is shot. So I went to Best Buy today and got a Kenwood 12" single voice coil 4 ohm W120SVC 1000W max/250 RMS on sale 50% off so out the door for 53 bucks. Installed it in the Forsgate box hooked up to the BOSS amp 1 & 2 channels bridged for 500 amps max and I'm rattling the mirrors now. All wiring front to back tucked away nice and organized. Amp screwed down under the 2nd row seat. I'll get some pics later.

Installed this in the driveway sweating my balls off, flies biting, ******* brutal out there...

can I offer some friendly opinion on your underhood in-line fuse setup? over time those barrel fuse holder tend to get hot and melt and crack and break
a ANL type fuse and holder will hold up much better over time.

How did you wire the 4-channel amp to the RF sub? Is the RF sub SVC or DVC and what is the VC impedance?

You may be able to find a local electronics shop to repair that bass knob socket. It's likely just an RJ11 connector (like a standard phone cord) with a few pins soldered to the board. Could quite possibly be an easy fix.

usually the ones that break are the 3.5mm (minijack) type, I have broke mine before, had it repaired locally, broke again about 3 days later, lol
on my amp now at least it's behind a panel so less likely to get broken, I have my sub and amp set with enough loose wire that I can slide it anywhere in the back and it wont yank it out, I have the factory rubber mat in the back and it has very good grip almost nothing with any weight to it moves anywhere, even if I slam on the brakes my sub might move an inch

It was the 3.5 mm port. Not the phone cable type. Which the new BOSS amp has and it doesn’t work LOL WTF,,,

The RF sub after tearing things apart only has SVC leads. But no markings whatsoever on it regarding power specs. I think RF does this on purpose. They have control over their products completely.

Interesting. I've never seen those that used a 3.5mm phono jack. Still could be an easy repair if you can solder on a circuit board.

Ya they are weird to because they use a mono jack but have some type of potentiometer in the knob portion or something I tried to wire up a different knob at one point and it wouldn't function, now that I think about it the jack may be smaller like 1.8mm but same style

Problem is the speaker is not labeled with it's specs to even try and figure out. Here is a link to the specs. I don't see any information about impedance?
