Mod ideas please. Tape deck area

Hi, I am an EMT and I need to find a place in the cab of my 2000 Suburban mount my siren and emergency light switch box. I am thinking the area where the tape deck is could be modded for this purpose. Has anyone redone their tape deck area and what materials did you use so that it kept it's look and shape? Hope that makes sense.

search Ebay for Kydex. It is textured like dash bezel material and comes in different colors. It is also heat moldable.

This pocket fits right in that tape deck spot, and the front is a separate part that you can probably trace to make a solid front piece, then drill a hole in the back to run your wires through.

What's up brother, I'm FDNY... I will be mounting my emergency equipment along with other stuff on the lower dash. I cut it apart and used a sheet of abs plastic 1/8'' thick and used my heat gun to contour it into place, I'm also going to wrap it in carbon fiber after I'm done.

This should give you and idea of what its supposed to look like, that's my first time wrapping anything and came out like shit so I will be redoing it lol
