Hey guys

Any recommendations on lowering kits on a 2007 Tahoe LT3 5.3L

Have heard alot about Belltechs kit.

Also cold air intake recommendations.

Thanks in advance

No recs on lowering kits because I'm a lifted 4x4 type, but I've had great luck with the Airaid Jr intake. My new ECM from Black Bear should be in the mail soon, so by next week I'll be tuned for it and should have some nice gains across the board.

Intake + tune are the two best budget-friendly performance mods you can do with these trucks.

thanks Im just worried about the ride afterwards because I do ride with the wife and kid in the Tahoe. Any truth to replacing the air rade jr filter with a k & n filter instead?

I have a 3.5"/5" and drive around my wife and 3 kids. If you get the right parts, you'll have a ride better than stock. A lot of people here are lowered and daily drive their SUVs with families.

I wouldn't, but that's up to you. If you do, get the non-oiled filter

Spend the extra money for the non-oiled synthetic filter. Well worth it. I hunted on the net and got mine for $165 shipped.

I would also recommend the 2-3/4 kit from Tony, as well as the airaid jr and tune. If you want a bit more rumble to the exhaust, think about doing a resonator delete with an SLP or Volant tip. For around $1,000, your truck will look and feel much more aggressive. I've done all of the above and love driving my Tahoe. Good luck.

Thanks Greg, I'm for sure doing the Airade but i purchased the truck with Magnaflow exhaust already on it. Gives it a nice deep/low tone if you would. Ill youtube the exhaust you mentioned to see the difference. Spoke to Tony earlier about the lowering kit. Now i just have to see what to do first lol... also want to add a navigation/dvd unit in the center console. As for the tune I really have no idea how it works. Ive looked on beartuning just wish they were in FL.
