About a 4 weeks ago i installed these monroe quick struts on my tahoe and they made the tahoe ride like a tank. I ended up order the factory ac delco shocks and breaking down my old struts and now it rides smooth. Lesson learned.

I've got that magnetic crap on mine and am afraid of pricing to replace those. I replaced the rears with Arnotts and was surprised they don't offer the magnetic style for the fronts. They only have the rears or a conversion for the fronts.

Here's my experience. I have a little over 100k on my truck and wanted to replace the front and rear suspension. I ordered bilsteins and new springs that were listed on ac delcos site as replacements for the truck. I had everything installed in January and it rode extremely stiff. I bought a set of quick struts to try out and put them in myself yesterday. I noticed when I took out the bilstein/ac delco setup that the front springs were almost twice as thick as the monroe setup and they had another coil or two. So I'm pretty sure the spring was the culprit in it riding rough. I put the Monroe's in and it rides better but still no where near how smooth it did from the factory. I still have the rear bilsteins and ac delco rears in.

I'm attempting to find a set of complete take outs to swap in the front as well as take out rear shocks and springs. I don't have the tools to swap the front components myself but I can if it's already a complete assembly so that's why I'm trying to find something completely assembled.

I actually installed these monroe quick struts and rode on them for a month and they still rode like crap. I ended up getting the part# for the ac delco struts that were on my tahoe from the factory and rented the spring compressing tool from the parts store. It was actually alot easier than i expected.
