I had these shocks put on my 2000 Tahoe, and they suck. The OEM factory shocks were way better. Every time I hit a little bump or dip my Tahoe, it scrubs the tire. They have no stiffness what so ever. They are too soft and I need a stiffer shock. I have 26 inch rims, but it wasn't rubbing at all with the factory shocks. Both of my old front shocks were going bad, but I couldn't tell. The way I found out is because I got a pitman arm replaced. What other shocks can you recommend?

Get Bilstein. Monroe shocks are not meant for SUVs, they're too soft like you said.

Who has the lowest prices? I looked on ebay, but those look like they won't fit my truck. They might have the wrong pictures posted on ebay?

Yes I had a pair of Sensitrax on my truck for about 2 wks....sucked arse, not meant for the weight and ironically they are listed as the stiffer shocks of the Monroe line.

So what shocks do you have now? I heard Ranchos are stiffer, but still made by Monroe? I'd take some cheap off-road shocks if they didn't raise my truck. I could probably get some OEM shocks from the junkyard, and they'd be better than these new Monroes?

i just replaced my old KYBs with Bilstein 5100s and it rides a lot better now... the KYBs were too soft i think and now my front bump stops are almost gone. i've got no complaints on the Bilsteins as of yet.
