I can't decide if I want to stroke my 5.3 Tahoe out or would be cheaper to swap a 6.0 into it instead if so will my computer work with that engine and will I have to have a tune or should I keep the 5.3 and just put in a cam and does anyone know if I can put a aftermarket tachometer in and how

Dude that's great. I wish the guy that I got mine from would have sold me the whole truck. I tried not a chance he was willing to. Please keep US updated.
that should be a LQ4. Have a look in the glove box and find the letters LQ4 or lQ9 and to the right will be the tranny code. m30 for 4l60 or M32 for 4l65. this way before you buy you know what you have and are buying.
when you pull the tranny out the tag on top should say 2KZD.
While it's still fresh in my mind, When you go to pull the motor and tranny take off the transfercase then pull tranny, then pull the motor. the two plugs on the neutral switch heat with heat gun or dryer to get the plugs out with out breaking either piece. I learned the hard way a few times before i got smart!!!
there is a little crossmember a little under and infront of the oil pan, for more wiggle room take it out. 90% of the wireing harness will stay with the motor and you can take it off when it's out. I have more for you but ran out of time for now. PM me if you would like more info or post here. but this is the bulk of it.
Hope it helps
