First real post. I searched through the forum like crazy but did not find what I was looking for.

So I am in the market to get to some new wheels and tires for my 2011 Yukon.

I have a few styles I am interested in.

Good Year Futura

I saw one suburban local with the CK366 22's and it looked very very nice. Also looks like a pain to keep them clean...

I am can not make up my mind on what ones to get and what size.

So I thought I could turn to you folks to help.

I would like to keep a good ride as this is our family vehicle. We do go out of town a lot for soccer tournaments as I coach and we play all year round. So I do need something that I can be comfterable on the high way for 6-8 hours drives and 75 miles an hour.

I tested on some 24 inch kmc slide wheels the other day with a 305/35/24 and it looked sick but the tires are pretty small and I am not sure if this will make the ride very bumpy and unsafe on the highway. I do not want steering vibration and I heard that the bigger the wheels the harder it is to balance plus they bend easier, but I also have heard that KMC is stronger better built rim than some of those cheaper wheels.

So a few things to consider...ride quality of a 24 vs 22. If I go with a 22 I would most likely get a 305/45/22 I am liking the good year futura look but not sure how they handle. The guy at one tire shop said to get nittos.

I was hoping to see if anyone here has those ck366 in a 22 on your tahoe or yukon that you can post some pictures from different angles. I am not sure if it has a concave face or flat.

Based off what I have said and sorry so long.....what would you recommend as far as size is concerned. I really do like the luxury look of the stock OEM wheels off the Denali, Cadillacs. It just happens to be that our Yukon XL SLT diamond white has every option but nice wheels. We are rolling on 17's and they are ugly...when you look at the suv its just missing something.

The CK366 look nice and I have only found a few pictures on the net but not good pictures.

The Slides look sweeeeet in the 24 but I have not seen them in 22 so not sure there but I like that concave look and how they look spinning.

Those Cadillac OEM wheels also look nice and will really give off that luxury look.

My Yukon has the chrome kit so I have lots of chrome.

YOur help please....and thanks!!

Here is my input:
The first wheel pic of ok but they will be annoying to clean. They are also "busy" looking and will cost a good coin if you buy the actual oem ones new. I would say not to get them.

The second wheels are not OEM Esky wheels. They are CK375 wheels that go on the Tahoe, Yukon, and Suburban. Maybe the Avalanche too. I really like the way they look. My neighbor has them on his red Tahoe and they are sharp. They will run a good amount of $$$$ too if you buy the OEM new ones.

The KMC Slides are also some nice aftermarket wheels that have an OEM look to them. The problem is they are extremely common. At least in Texas and on this forum. They also will run a good amount.

As for tires, go ahead and scrap the Goodyear idea unless you are going with the CK375. The Slides do not look very good in chrome in any size under 24", so if you want them the 22" version you are better off getting the CK375.

Lastly, 24 riding rough and not balancing is a myth. Them bending easy and not being highway safe is also a myth. If you get quality tires, hub rings, and a good balance from a shop that knows what they are doing, you will have 0 issues. You will also have to keep them at the right pressure and have TPMS. 24s can ride just as good as 20s and smaller with these guidelines. Me and many people on here know from experience because we have had various size wheels.

All in all, I recommend 22s or bigger for your Yukon. From your choices, the Slides and 375s are your best bet. If you want 22s, go with the CK 375. If you want 24s, go with Slides.

As for tires, you can also look at Hankook, Pirelli, Continental, Nitto, Toyo, and Bridgestone.

My vote is for the 2nd wheel (CK375). As Neo mentioned above those are not the OEM escalade wheels.. the ones I have on my esky are the "oem 22". I had the KMC Slide 24's and it's really all a matter of opinion as far as ride quality is concerned. I feel that I lost a lot of ride quality. The braking was also sketchy and you could definitely feel the extra weight when turning the wheel. I went down to the CK916 (22" GM wheels) and it was a lot better. I highly recommend getting the factory 22's since you plan on driving a lot. I currently run a 305/40/22 Nitto NT420S tire and that's as big as they will go without rubbing (although someone else on here has that same size tire and they do rub) so a 305/45/22 will definitely rub FYI.

Here is what my vehicles looked like with the different rims:

305/40/22 tires with factory esky 22's:

285/45/22 tires with CK916 22's:

I, too, vote for the CK375's. Hit up SuperchargedSS (OEM Parts Direct, Inc and a vendor on here). He's usually got a good deal on the CK375's complete with tires!

Are you planning to drop your truck?

If not stick with 22s unless you want gynormous wheel gap.

The 366s don't look very good on any other truck than an escalade imo ,,, it's the only variation of these trucks that's blingy enough to carry them, and even there it's a stretch.

You can't really go wrong with 375s, they are beautiful rims that look elegant on any truck. They are however the most expensive of the CK 22" accessory wheels on account of high demand and limited supply.

Welcome to TYF. :)

$1339 shipped for the 366 and $1569 shipped for 375.

375 are on national back order. I have a few left. 366 are still available.

Can't go wrong with OEM. 12 month warranty and any dealer can handle the warranty across the nation.

I'd highly suggest reconsidering a 305/45/22 and look at a 305/40/22. Soulsea has the Goodyear Fortera 305/40/22 on his Denali and it looks perfect. Anything bigger and you're going to give it a "bobo" look. Personal opinion of course.

If i were to replace my wheels with bigger ones, it would be most certainly ck375's! They are incredible! No opinion on 22" vs. 24", though. 20"s are the biggest i have had.

Thanks for that info on the 24's. What is TPMS sorry I have no clue.

You have a very nice looking SUV! I like it a lot! Like you said 24's is a personal opinion. Seems like its just one of those things you have to try it for yourself to really know. I think because my wife will drive this more than I will as I have a Lifted Avalanche, the small tire that will be put on the 24's she will probably scratch the heck out of the wheels because well, I love her and bless her heart but she does hit those curbs and I am not sure if those 305/35/24 will be enough tire on there. I had an infinit Q45 with some 19's and a small tire and she drove it, got a flat and had no clue she was rolling on a flat tire. When she got home she mentioned the car was a bit bumpy and I went outside to look and the tire was cut all up. Lucky she did not scratch the wheel so it must have just happened. Maybe 22's will be better....

So you did not like your kmc slide wheels? I have not seen anyone around where I live use them. I have seen some youtube videos of them rolling and man do they look sweet!! I had one test fitted the other day and I will say that it made my jaw drop on how much better it looked compared to my stocks....

Are you planning to drop your truck?

I am not planning on dropping it. Its a 4x4 and don't really want to mess with the suspension on it. It is brand new I got one of those deals on it since it was a 2011 and I don't want to do anything to void warranty. I was told lifting it or lowering would void my warranty. So yeah just going to keep it as is.

24" don't ride bad. It's the tire choice that rides bad. My wife has 24s on her lowered Burban and hauls the kids all the time. We tow, take road trips, pack it full, no problems. Rides awesome. She has 305/35/24 on a 24x10.5 in back and 285/35/24 on a 24x9.5" in front.
