Most miles with stock AFM system?

I was just curious as the whether any holdouts had accumulated as much miles as I have while still running the stock system.

I probably should have realized that it is highly unlikely that anyone still running the OEM system will ever see this thread. I'll be surprised if I get any responses at all, now that I think about it.

i ran the AFM system for 10k miles i have been doing 90 mile commutes(roundtrip) on the uphill side i run v8 mode though..

other wise it will typically stay in v4 mode almost the entire time.. I always wait for the engine to warm up before letting it do v4 mode it's low rpm use i.e under 2200 rpm
1000rpm-2200rpm(85mph) only if i need to stop fast will i down shift only in v8 mode..(M1-4 gear)

Oil pressure is 60-70PSI on cold start 45-60 when i get to work @ 1100-2200rpm

I read a lot about deactivating the stock AFM system because of the many reports of trouble. But I often wonder who has accumulated the most trouble-free miles while running the OEM system. I have 114,000 on my '16 Tahoe, and no trouble yet (fingers still crossed).

Mine has not been mechanically deleted just tuned OFF in the computer my 07 is around 375,000 miles now!

I bought my ‘13 Tahoe 5.3 in September with 197k. AFM was working 100% fine with good oil pressure, no ticking, not noticeable when engaging, etc. But I have since had it tuned out.

I have not disabled. 2009 Tahoe LT 5.3 AFM 4x4. 257,000 miles. No issues yet. Change oil every 5K with full synthetic. And not proud of it but the transmission oil has never been changed.

My 2018 6.2 was at 114k when I bought it. Previous owners were leasers so I don't think afm was disabled until I got it. No issues yet. Fingers crossed
