Look into the 0-30 Castrol full syn. but the key is to look for the bottles that have the red seal crest on the front and on the back of the bottle it will state that it is manufactured in Germany very important. Bob the oil guy as found on the internet (bobtheoilguy.com) has some impressive test results on several of the leading brands, I also own a BMW-540I M sport in which only certain oils are approved and carry the correct SAE shear/stress rating and the German castrol is one of them.
Don't be fooled by the "0" weighting value as noted by the tests it's a very good oil.
Mobil 1 full syn. 5-30..here also.. i just did my oil change today and the guy that usually does my oil change recommended me to change my oil grade to 10-30 after 55K miles is this accurate or should i just keep putting Mobil 1 full syn. 5-30 ?
Although I am not a mech. I have worked in mech shops and dealerships my whole life. That being said, I have heard of engines having dirty oil problems, no oil problems, but never a "cheap" oil problem.
AutoZone's 10w30 has always worked for all 130k on my truck. No complaints yet.
