Will headers for the 5.3L. Fit the 6.0L?

Yes - infact.. If you are putting the 6.0L in place of the 5.3 you need to order headers for the 5.3. (if you plan to use stock down pipes) The passenger side pipe has a different end on it than the drivers side (on the 5.3) the 6.0 stock they are the same - and it does not match the down pipe in the truck.

So if you are going to do shorties or even keep stock headers you have to use the 5.3 ones on the 6.0 in order for it to match the down pipe. Learned the hard way! lol

They should fit, actually. The 4.8, 5.3 & 6.0 have the same header bolt patterns.

Correct - the difference is where it meets at the down pipe.. Drivers side they are both the same - pass side the 6.0 is different.

Here is an example of ones that fit the 4.8 and 5.3

The ones ordered for a 6.0 look the same but the one side does not have that male flange on it (which fits into the stock down pipe)

:hmm: Learned something new today. I had no idea that the bolt pattern for that on the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 were the same. I just always made the assumption (albeit wrong!!) that they were different

Yep the blocks on these motors are all the same - pretty much just bore + stroke difference -

So my LT headers on my 5.3L will work on the 6.0L

That is correct. The only difference is where the headers meet the y pipe.

The 4.8 and 5.3 have a flange on the passenger side header that the 6.0 header does NOT have. Which also means the OEM down pipe on the 6.0 trucks is different -

The drivers side header is the same on all 3 motors. Clear as mud - right?

here's the bottom line - If you are putting in a 6.0 into a 4.8 or 5.3 truck, and plan to keep the stock cats + down pipes you HAVE to use the headers from the 4.8 or 5.3 motor. Even if you want to order aftermarket shorties (Like I did) Order them for the 5.3 NOT the 6.0

they will work, just need to mod Y pipe. all LS ( 4.8/5.3 and 6.0) are exactly same exterior wise.

Well it sounds like he has eliminated the y- pipes.. You have custom exhaust literally from the motor back? If so, yes - this will still mount up.
