Hi everyone, I was wondering if 12.9 mpg combined is normal on my Yukon with 150k miles. What can I can check, clean or replace on my Yukon for better gas mileage besides better diving habits. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Your MPG is pretty normal. I have 2000 4x4 Tahoe, 5.3. Owned it since 40,000 miles, and now have 505,000 miles. I get about 11 - 12 MPG around town, and 15-17 MPG on long open road drives. The mileage is only 1 MPG less than when I first got the rig. No engine work to date.

I do get 19.5 mpg (12 liter/100km mixed driving.
I run stock air filter, pure synthetic oil and our 98 octane With 5% Ethanol in it.

I change my oil very often, use the longer oil filter and yes I know the longer filter the more exposed and less force it can take before it do cave in. I use Wix. What have this with the mpg you maybe think, because the por design of the lifters and pushrod I try stay one step ahead and happy lifters makes a happy engine.

I think the mpg are in the large run are affected by the climate you drive in. Here it's around 300 meters (984,2 ft) above the sea (+/- 100m), dry and cold.

wondering if there has been any change as it has been a little while. there are several things that folks dont think of that can add up to some mileage differences. things as simple as tire tread choice and pressure.
