After going 167mi theres no more carbon dripping out of my exhaust. Mileage is 12mpg now but I have been pretty ******* it over the last 167 miles 50-100+ race w/ my buddy's cobalt (na modified) and I was sitting in a parking lot for about an hour running, and on top of all that my driving has been 90% city. I'm figuring if I'm easy on it now the mileage should be back to what it is supposed to be.

Still have the same problem.. Anyone think replacing the fuel filter would be worth a shot? It was done about 7k ago but I had just seafoamed prior to the filter replacement. Also the tank was dropped about 3 times after that for a few dud fuel pump replacements. Maybe things got stirred up and prematurely clogged the filter. A hummer (h1) gets better mileage than me :(

Never hurts. It's cheap and easy to do so "why not?" I say :)

I would recommend getting that thing on a pc-based(if possible, screen can display more simultaneous data) scanner and study all the PID's. Something will show in there being off.

try scantool.net and see if your software is compatible with an interface from them. I recommend though you get scanXLPro with the gm add-on. Has a lot of pids. Most shops have scanners pc or hanheld just not sure how smart they are to interpret data. People that is.
