Which magnaflow muffler is everyone using? I have a 2013 yukon denali with AFM. Also what is the part number for the SLP tip?

Just installed the Borla 40359 and already had the SLP resonator delete. Love the rumble and not too loud. I was debating the magnaflow as well but am happy I went with the Borla.

Does anyone know if the magnaflow 12589 and the slip tip 31059 fits on a 2013 yukon denali 6.2L?

Define fit?

I would think that as long as the outlets are in the correct orientation (center/offset/etc) that a shop should be able to weld in the muffler with no problems at all regardless of pipe size. They will be able to step it down or up as needed or use a custom piece that is an adapter.

Same for the tips, if they need to expand the pipe on the tips or the stock exhaust or create a new piece and expand that, they will be able to. May not look as clean from underneath the vehicle but no one is going to see it.

SLP tip alone will not fit the 6.2L without stepping down, it's meant to fit on the 5.3L. I contacted SLP 3 months ago and they did not have a tip to fit the 6.2l without an adapter as Matt stated. Any muffler shop will be able to make it fit if that is truly what you want.

That muffler looks like a 3" in and out. The Denali has a 3.5" pipe from the factory. It will fit but it will need to be tweaked. Your best bet is to get a 3.5" in and out muffler. Borla and Magnaflow both make them. I beleive ideally you would have center in and offset out but this really isn't a major deal if it is center in and center out on the new muffler.

I looked at building my own exhaust for my Denali. I decided I wanted a Borla over a Magnaflow (I've had Magnaflow and I wanted to try Borla; I also like the Borla sound better). I called Borla and they recommended the 400261 because their other 3.5" inlet mufflers would be too loud. Unfortunately that muffler is $350. By the time I added a tip I liked and install I figured I would be better off paying a bit more for a cat back.

I think Magnaflow has a 3.5" muffler for a little over $100.
