Im looking to get a new muffler to add a some rumble to my truck. My friend works at autozone and gets a discount so I think I am going to go with magnaflow. I was curious what the different size mufflers do in terms of sound? IIRC the oem inlet and outlet size is 2.5", correct? You're advice is greatly appreciated, ps. im looking for fairly loud but still clean sounding

Thanks,
Dan

You would want 3"in/3"out.... Case length; the shorter the louder, the longer the quieter. Pick your poison. Sounds like you want a 14" to 18" case.... For Example I need something a lil more quiet so my case length on my new muffler will be 30"

Last question, does it matter whether the muffler is oval or round and does that affect anything in terms of sound? Also do I need an offset or is center inlet/outlet fine?
