The AirRaids have to oiled like the K&N's don't they?

Yes that is correct, but i've yet to oil it since it is brand new. i'm about to go to autozone and get the K&N kit with the oil/cleaner. thanks for the reminder!

The window trim is larger on the escalades then yours so you're going to have a big ass gap when you put your mirrors on. You'll see when you bolt them up. That's the only reason I haven't put these mirrors on my tahoe

Ohhh where the mirror lines up with the window sill. Yes now I know what you are talking about. Check post # 19 in this thread:

Mr. B got the esky sideview mirrors on a tahoe and took pictures of the "Gap". Basically the chrome window sill that the escalade has lines up with black gloss painted side of the mirror but yea I was aware of that... small price to pay for some SICK mirrors. :Handshake:

Also, I noticed that the Escalade has an exterior window trim piece that consists of the black painted pillar (no matter what color the car is) and the chrome window sill that runs up onto the window... saw one being sold on craigslist... I wish someone had this piece and knew how it would match up to the tahoe's door frame...

why not have your body guy fill the gap to line up with the Tahoe window sills? Don't get me wrong I like the Escalade mirrors but this is half assing it.

haha yea i guess you can call it what you want... i think "half-assing" it would be to call it quits and leave it as is... I am currently looking for current workarounds/solutions for this so others in the future who want the esky mirrors on their respective yukons/tahoes will have some insight. So any suggestions on how to 'fix' this would def help... thanks!

So onto what you said earlier about filling the gap... what materials would he fabricate this with to fill it/line it up with my current tahoe window sill? my original idea was to somehow make the esky door frame chrome trim/black pillar oem part, overlay on top of my current car door frame. thoughts? remember these are just ideas... obviously it's going to be a task since it's not a direct bolt on replacement.

I would try and find a similar plastic and plastic weld the pieces together. It'd be hard I'm sure but would definitely be worth it.

I know what you're talking about with the plastic weld and that's not a bad idea but how would you then get that 'joint' smooth so it wasn't noticeable?

Here are some pics of the bumper freshly painted and then the bumper put on. All clips and rear sensors fit like a glove and everything is pretty much direct bolt on.

Esky mirrors tomorrow. Pics to follow.
