^^ some people say they can actually hear some difference when dropping to 4cyl but I have a Magnaflow and don't hear any difference at all.

Must be 47 yr old ears! j/k I can hear it go into 4 cyl mode. I heard it the first time I took new one for a test drive when I was looking to buy mine. It's not louder just changes tone.

How does it sound when it drops down to 4 cylinders?? Thats the only thing holding me back from doing an exhaust.

When I had my Tahoe I did magnaflow muffler with resonator delete and Volant tips and never heard anything when dropping cylinders.

BB tune will be coming soon. Waiting to see if another opportunity comes up for a personal tune. I think Justin was here in New Orleans a couple months ago and it just happened to be the week I had all my family in town for my wedding. The wife, mother, mother-in-law would have skinned me alive if I had tried to work that into the schedule. Besides, didnt have the mods yet.

47 year old ears maybe, same for the brain as it functions MUCH better once you are old and wise. ;-)

No one said there was no difference in sound going from 8 to 4. The question was in regards to the Magnaflow Exhaust and I say there is NO noticeable DIFFERENCE in sound between STOCK vs. MAGNAFLOW when going from 8 to 4. It does not rumble any louder or any different then stock.

Now I heard the same with a FLOWMASTER and in my opinion (OLD EARS AND ALL), the sound difference is DEFINITELY noticeable with the FLOWMASTER Exhaust.
