Yes I want! Thanks in advance...
So -
Here is the how to on the LED under running board lights.
Buy a strip of those exact lights I linked off of Amazon. They are weatherproof and coated in clear epoxy.
Get some brake cleaner and 2 towels. Clean the bottom of each running board with brake cleaner so the LED strip will stick to it.
Remove the chinese double sided tape that comes on the LED strips and use 3M Clear Plastic Emblem Adhesive. Its great.
The LED strip has wires attached to both ends. Cut it in half. Use the ends with the wires attached at the front of each board. Go ahead and glue them up and put masking tape over them until it dries. Don't use so much glue it comes out the sides. To activate the 3m glue, press the strip against the running board, pull it loose, then press it the final time. Put tape over it. Both of your wires will be towards the front. One end will have a connector on it. Cut it off - you want 2 wires hanging off each side. Go ahead and run the strip the length of the running board and cut off any excess at the end. You can cut the LED strip every 3rd LED - at the copper joints.
Now that you have the lights glued up - you just need to wire them up. 2 wires - 1 power, 1 ground. Just ground one wire on each side to the frame. The other wires are for power. Tap into the power wire for the passenger side LED strip you just installed, run it across the frame (neatly and wrapped in wire loom) and connect it to the driver side. Then connect both of those wires to the puddle/courtesy lamp control at the BCM.
I used an already existing hole in the drivers side floor to bring my wire inside. Tap into the BCM - to the left of the brake pedal up in dash. Above hood release area. Connector you will use is X7. Color - Light Grey.
Tap into wire: Pin #8, Grey and Light Green. That is the output control for the puddle lamps. Once you tie into that, wrap and tape it all back up. I use 3M friction tape for my electrical tape. (I HATE standard, sticky electrical tape. That stuff is a match to factory product)
That should work for you!
