My salesman hasn't called me in two months. Sometimes he might take a minute and drop me an e mail after three attempts from me to contact him.
I'd say you are doing about average Satish. It is after all, GM.

I'm kind of stuck now. They are giving me $27,750 in trade off of invoice for our 10' LT with 54k. That original number was given when it had 42k.
If the redesigned Navigator was available today, I would be gone, no matter what the trade difference was. We NEVER keep a vehicle this long, and it just doesn't want to go....

I got to hand it to Zerdian over on the Caddy forum. This guy is proudly going to give GM 100k for one of these things. GM simply can not add enough lipstick to make this vehicle worth more than the 65-70 we are paying.

No doubt...that guy was proud of paying ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS for that Caddy. I just need a winter beater and the accelerated depreciation write-off for 2014.

They did throw in a $700 color correction detail by HD Car Care that I insisted that it needed; so it will go there tomorrow if they figure out the tailgate issue. HD's rep says that it will take them 20 man hours to complete a Yukon. They basically make the truck nicer than the factory (micro buffing, 5 coats of polish, etc). Obviously overkill for this thing...but then again, black when it's new and clean...

Plus, it's free...

PS - They did give me the option of backing out of the deal altogether in exchange for another 3 2015i's coming in this week similarly equipped. We'll see. I have options at least..

He is definitely proud, I might be able to wipe my ass with $100.00 bills, but I know what a waste of cash looks like. There are a lot of better places to burn cash, but I guess it's his to burn.

As far as your ride, Read the tea leaves bro..
Could be a lemon..
If they have a similar build coming in, wait and take it.

As far as accelerated depreciation, I don't think Section 179 has been approved by congress yet. My accountant says it may still happen, but not as of yet.
I'm a little pissed because I have about 100k of business improvements that I would love to expense out this tax season, but it doesn't look like I'm going to get that break.

Correct, but this is in regards to the newer revision of Sec. 179 with a $500,000 cap. Currently, it remains at $25k. Hopefully some movement occurs now that this election is over.

25k cap won't get American business reinvesting. I can't see it capped at 25k, but who knows..

Would you believe my wife's truck is still sitting in Texas after a effing month?
Freaking unbelievable...

Do doubt....measly $25k. Hopefully with the outcome of the elections early this month, Congress will be more motivated to quickly revert Sec 179 back to 2013 level...PERMANENTLY! I bought a new building in 2014...I could use that deduction.

I've had deliveries of Chevys that have been perfect in terms of the car being beautifully detailed but the most recent GMC had dirt in all the cracks and streaky glass... it just totally depends on the dealer it seems. You guys are absolutely right though it's infuriating to think of spending that kind of money on a vehicle and expect to have to take delivery of it dirty. Hell, I bring my trades in clean! It's just being respectful of the other guy.

Mostly though they should never, EVER, deliver a new car with bits of trim hanging off and a trunk that won't open! Not only is it bad business but it's insulting.

You guys are funny.

Unless the dealer subs to professional detailer (99% don't) the first thing I tell every dealer before taking delivery of a new vehicle is to make sure they don't wash it. I don't care if they hand wash all their vehicles, I do not trust them not to *** up my paint before it ever gets to me. I've seen too many vehicles, some a lot more expensive than a GM suv, delivered with swirl marks all over the place form the dealer wash.

Yes. I know. I had them send it to one of the best guys in my town for a full paint correction...digital paint meter and all. They told the dealer it would take 20 man hours to perfectly perform the ultimate detail totaling approx $700. They said go ahead if it would make me happy.
