It's just two little indents for a peg on each end. Then there are slots on either side by the lift gate to hook the end in when you pull it back.

Yup, we all have them, just like belly buttons! Just gotta make sure the cover is for a Tahoe. If it's for a suburban, XL, etc, it won't fit. Why not just put the boxes inside the house? Tahoe covers are pretty rare, you don't really see a lot of them for sale. I sold a nice black one and I regret it!

No, different, as you already know. I have two for sale, but for a suburban. I have a tan one that I'm keeping for the dirty How, even tho I have pewter interior.
