nope...not that drastic. Now if you had a Solo X 18" off 250 watts, yes...but you have 500 RMS going to them, and that's perfectly fine. Then you have over head, IF, or WHEN you add more power.
Smaller woofer, your limited to swapping BOTH out now.

Power can be turned down, up, causes issues.

yea imo as long as the max on the amp is at least the rms of the subs youre pretty cool.. some stiffer subs ask specifically for a certain amount of watts though.. but if it doesnt ask for it.. then you dont HAVE to have it.. a 1000w max amp on 1000w rms sub is pretty much always gonna be fine though

Subs are on there way and I just got back from Home Depot with all my wood and shit. Materials came to $85 and the subs were $340 Shipped. Also bought 15 ft of KnuKonceptz Karma SS 10 gauge speaker wire for them.

The subs I went with were DC Level 2 15's. I should be able to put 400 rms to each of them daily with no problem. They are handmade to order, and ive talked to the guy in charge for a total of about an hour and he sounds like he KNOWS his shit.

Probably gonna build the box Sunday and the subs and wire are coming Tuesday so il get em put in and wired up then. Then on Friday or Saturday im taking my truck to a local car audio shop and having all my amps tuned, having my box carpeted with that commercial carpet to match my amp rack, and hopefully have them get rid of my alternator feedback.

So stoked. :D
