I just got mine too. To cold to install. Had one question. Mine has these black covers over the things that slide into the body to snap in place, they look way to big compared to stock. Ill post a pic to show what I'm talking about

You have to pull really hard and they'll come off. I just got mine today and hated those things.

We know what you're talking about, and Soph addressed it briefly, but you may notice that those plastic pieces are the same pieces that are already in the body. They are more or less "spacers" that sit in the sheet metal and receive the metal, pointed tabs.

For whatever reason, these lights tend to come with these (additional) pieces already attached.

These things ARE tough to get off. What I've found is best is to wedge a sharp screwdriver behind the back of it (there's a little lip on the metal post), and then twist the screwdriver so that it wedges the piece off the post. Just be careful, cause that thing will go FLYING when it does pop off.

Thanks for the help. They did go flying. These tails are awesome. I'll post pics this afternoon

Denali132 what color did you end up getting? Red, chrome or black?

Sophmore I went with the black because I have a Denali and my factory tails have a clear lense with black around the lights so I got the black to match them. They look good I think and will look good once I get them in!!! It's killing me, I took the black tab ends off. How hard do you think it would be for my wife to do. I really want them in but with my surgery I can't, I can do everything except unhook the factory lights under the rear. Is it really easy to spot if I had her look under the rear?
Thanks

Black would look really good, it would contrast well with the red. I ALMOST went with them but picked red because I really, really wanted it to look stock or it was going to bother me. Get some pics of them up close before you install! I want to see the housing.

Your wife probably could do it, maybe have her use a tool like KMeloney said, or you could ask your neighbors. The harness took me about 5 seconds to spot so it's not bad. In fact I'll see if I can get a picture for you.
