Sigh. I feel like I've been gut-punched. :nutkick:

Just returned from a 2500-mile road trip to Texas. Lights were great, truck performed flawlessly. Hell, I even averaged 14 MPG cruising most of the time at 85-90 MPH.

Then yesterday my wife asked to borrow the truck to pick up my son and a few of his friends at the airport. In Michigan, we have two seasons - winter, and road construction. My lovely wife decided to do some impact testing in a construction zone using the front of my truck. She hit multiple markers (the white poles) which destroyed one headlight and knocked both fog lights loose. One fog light is gone, the other was dragged for many miles.

Downside to these fogs - because of the giant aluminum heatsink, they're much heavier than the factory units. Even though the impacts were on the passenger side, the driver's side light was also knocked loose. I guess I should be happy that the passenger side fog light didn't bounce under the truck and knock a hole in my oil pan or trans pan.

Gonna buy the replacements using the link in the above post. At least that's $200 less than I paid the first time.

The fascia/fog light mounts don't seem to be damaged, and fortunately the wiring plug gave way, so no damage to the plug/wiring. Other than the white scuffing on the bumper cover, no other damage.
