it appears he did it to flush mount the subs. that would be my guess anyway. i wanna hear this thing!

To help support the weight of the subs, they are right around 80 lbs each, and to keep the flex down, you lose output if the box flexes.

First test fit, and it is tight!! The way I like it, lol.

my ears are sooo fawked up, i cant handle anything over one 12" sub...

i can see how it will help flex but i cant see how its supporting the weight of the subs since the subs will be mount to the first layer of wood
