My New Truck

Showed up at 8AM today to pick up my truck. I was a little annoyed at the dealer up to this point for a couple reasons, but they more than made up for it today.

Here is the truck waiting for me as I drove up.


Sat down to test drive it.

Thanks! I really do love the way they look. I haven't done anything with them yet, as they have grown on me, but I still remain concerned about replacement tires. For now, they haven't gone anywhere.

Question: Who did you contact for a tour of the plant and to follow your truck on the line? I just put an order in for a Tahoe and would love to be able to see our truck built.

I'm kind of a big deal.

Just kidding. My best friend is kind of a big deal, at least at the plant. He just got my order number, asked me when I wanted to come down, scheduled it, then walked me down the line with the truck.

I think it's really a "you have to know someone" kind of thing. It was actually very inconvenient for him, as he lost a full day escorting me around. The truck took about 6.5 hours to go down the line, although I hear the line moves faster now.
