So govt ordered but nothing denotes being an SSV or even border patrol regardless of its usage. Is there evidence of numbering/lettering on it? In the right light (dew also helps) you can read it on mine. It was a Texas border patrol though with cool off-road bits on it.

Got it, I understand. Again, It's not an SSV code, I posted it. I know I get the SSV community here. But I quoted what this area was looking to help with for knowledge and it stated also "other government owned" fleet purchases and returning them to civilian life so here I am. IF it doesn't belong here let me know folks.
CBP-USBP Border Patrol "4x4" vehicles are not all SSV coded, not sure if any "4x4" CBP-USBP purchases were. off road bits? you mean like G80, GT5, NZZ, etc? got it. I am the first civilian who titled it. You learn something everyday. Again, SSV means essentially nothing when it comes to Border Patrol 4x4 vehicles. FLT, GAM is the priority.
I hope this helps a little more. Now I'm trying to get caught up on what I'm going to do with it moving forward..

Mine was upfitted by Baja fabrication with a lift, long Baja style skid plates, bigger sways, etc. I’ve got some pics in my intro thread.

Good point, SSV not coded here. A regular LS Tahoe? Nope GAM coded. Only Government ordered. That could have had other items ordered that made it eligible for use as only a non civilian owned LS Tahoe. It is a retired Border Patrol rig. Codes FLT, GAM, as well. I'm also the first person to title it as a civilian owned Tahoe.

Interesting. I didn't mean to deny it's "authenticity" with my comment. I'm certainly not the authority on this and it really doesn't matter if it is or isn't unless you were an SSV/PPV purist striving for a particular theme. I just meant I didn't see any of the SSV attributes that I'm used to seeing. It has alloy wheels, side molding, trim level badging, carpeted floor, roof rack, "loaded" interior, etc. It essentially being an LS RPO'ed as an SSV sheds more light on the widely varying build options and makes yours that much more unique. Even cooler that you have the gubbamint paperwork.

Dude that is awesome....another note for the Basics is that it has the civilian interior including the front and rear cloth seats. As he stated, PPV and SSV mean nothing to CBP, they typically get a variety of options and like Ilikemtb999 said, they even went aftermarket and gave it one hell of a suspension upgrade.

Me personally, I would probably stay away from these vehicles if your looking for the "highest quality/best condition" because these trucks GET USED, and HARD. Looks like you got a really nice one though Basics, I would guess it was a superiors car or maybe in a smaller town on a less traveled part of the boarder.

Chris, I totally understood where you were coming from.. Yep, here's a pic of one badged with the aluminum wheels and it appears to be in the North. also for everyone I have this sticker overhead as well.
I also have my Tahoe's designated "Mxxxxx" number on the key remote as well.

JK, Your skid plate system is common to mine as well. not sure off road wise if we we're different at all? I have the brush guard still that could be what you had as well, but was removed. That would also explain the lack of your Tow Hooks.
