my poor truck is breaking... help please

Been having the same issue with my truck for weeks.......CEL on/off idle rough ect....same codes...... I actually got the fuel composition sensor once. Basically I changes the fuel filter, got a new gas cap, cleaned the MAF, and reinforced my CAI(K&N) on the TB with a steel banded ABF joiner from home depot and my CEL went off....... I'd start with gas cap and fuel filter less than $20 and it might just do the trick.

I had something similar happen on my truck and it turned out to be the intake manifold gasket. My truck sounded like it had a cam in it but didn't stall. I'm not sure about the codes, but if your MAF sensor is not accounting for the additional air, this would cause a lean condition IMO.. Only did it when cold and as soon as it warmed up, it idled normal.

man what a week... all the kids on anti-biotics so I havent had time to do much to this.

A little update.... something I overlooked when I started this post was how low my fuel was, under 1/4 tank. I filled up with chevron, added lucas octane boost and took notes... everything seemed better. Unfortunatly, it has not been as cold as that day in the morning so I cannt replicate the conditions.

I did clean the MAF (which I do frequently so its unlikely anyway). Cleaned the filter (wasnt that dirty to begin with). and ordered a fuel filter... should be here any day now.

I still think its the pump, but maybe I can get some more life out of it since I need to buy tires very shortly and have been saving all my extra cash to make that happen.
