I'll be interested in seeing how long it takes for Lesson 3: "All of these lights are the same exact thing, regardless of seller/branding, and it's a crap shoot with all of them." Or, you could just take my word for it now. ;)

Good luck, Serge. It can be a pain in the ass.

One word of advice: Make SURE that a newly-developed hyper flash is NOT due to issues with your truck-side harness. I developed a hf in a set of G4s, was sure it was the light housing, itself, but found that plugging in some OEM Denali lights resulted in the same hf in the oem lights. Turns out that the plug wasn't seating well/was dirty...

He said it didn't match the body lines or something to that effect.

I think that the official legal defense is "temporary insanity." ;)

It's not the truck harness ... when the 2nd set hyper flashed I put the first set back on and it didn't.

And I just prefer the G4s the the G5s.

Now to get the blood out of my alcohol system ...

Well I'm sure you'll be alright ... might be a good idea and do what modded said and run some silicone on the seams to make sure you don't get any moisture in them.

I've had nothing but problems with Eagle Eye G4s from Revotec... I've had three sets. The first one worked for about 3 months, then started malfunctioning (reverse lights didn't work, only one column of LEDs would flash with turn signal, etc.). I bought another set, and well, within the first week, I noticed that I had an inch of water standing inside my driver's side taillight... Contacted Revotec, who made me pay return shipping to send them back, only for them to send me another defective set. The third and final set I received just simply didn't work... Both sets made good target practice...

So I've given up on the LED taillight game for now, until I can get OEM Escalade tails...
