Went own my own ... I was actually going to come to Vegas anyway to see an old friend so I organized it so it coincides with SEMA. I had never been before. It's beyond description, I don't think the immensity of the whole thing can be properly conveyed ... a person just has to see it for themselves. The closest I can describe it is, stack 30 IKEA stores and 30 Home Depot stores and it's probably about half the square footage. There must have been tens of thousands of people there. Everything one can imagine related to the auto industry is represented, from the tiniest village factory in the middle of nowhere in China, to every single aftermarket manufacturer, and every single big auto maker. If one wants to go slow and absorb every aspect of it it'd take weeks. I didn't even get around to seeing all the off road track exhibitions, seminars, lectures, demonstrations, etc.

I went back in 2010 (iirc) and you are right it is beyond description. It takes a toll on the mind trying to process all the stuff you see.

Thanks for your input on it. Just curious to see what others think.

I guess I can steal Serges thread for a minute. How was Yates SEMA experience? Lots of memories, fun, and hurt feets.

I landed in Vegas Friday afternoon and after a lovely cab ride with a Yugoslavian that told me that he hated Vegas and thought Iowa sounded like it was really "living" compared to Vegas :yaoface2:, the cab ride was like 10 minutes lol. Upon arriving at the hotel I found my truck to be clean and only needed to have the suspension detailed (a job all in its own), also had to help setup the booth.

Saturday morning started at 5 a.m. so that I could make it to a 6 a.m. photoshoot. Rest of the day was setting up the booth and eating.

Sunday was a free day so slept in (I think we got in around 5 a.m.) and went to the strip gamble a little and do some sight seeing.

The rest of the week is not really worthy of doing a day by day on so I will just give a quick summary. Met a few "celebrities", Chris and Robbie from Shipping Wars (yes she is hot in real life), Rutledge Wood from Top Gear, Stacey David from Gearz, Travis Pastrana walked by and said hi while at breakfast (seemed like a nice guy), met a few UFC fighters, and Sergio from TYF. Actually went to dinner with Serge and is super nice guy.

My trucks experience was good and bad. The photo shoot will hopefully work into a feature and also have an online magazine wanting me to send them pics for a feature, they wanted to do a photo shoot but no time. The bad was that the truck was in a horrible spot that most people probably did not even know was there, pretty much luck of the draw as they split the Truckin people up. I got a lot of positive feed back on the truck and from what I have seen did not make it on any of the posts from anywhere making fun of it .

Would have been pretty badass if you went. I would have let you buy dinner.

Only if they have Rocco's Tacos there. Man I'd kill for that right now. Serge where are youuuuuuuu?!?
