So on top of these few threads...
My install - Pioneer DD & Headrest & iPad
Installed Pioneer AVH-8400BH Today...
Adding USB to dash...
I finally got the rest of my system installed. I had to keep 1 seat of my 3rd row because I have 3 (young) kids and they sometimes ride in my car.
The parts list breaks down like this...
I tried to link all the products for those who want to know more...
Headunit/screens
-Pioneer AVH-P8400BH DVD 7" Head Unit Receiver
-Pioneer CD-IU201V iPod Interface Cable
-Concept CLD-700 7-inch Headrest Monitor w/ Built In DVD Player (for 2nd row passenger side)
-Concept CLD-700 7-inch Headrest Monitor (for 2nd row driver side)
-Concept CLD-700 7-inch Headrest Monitor (for 3rd row Pass side)
-Apple iPad 1 3G+Wifi
Install accessories
-Metra 95-3305 Double DIN Installation Dash Kit
- Metra Axxes GMOS-LAN-012 Wiring Harness
-Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface
-BatCap Model 2000 --> What is a BatCap?
Mids & Highs (Front)
-Beyma Pro65Nd mids
-Beyma PH35 highs
-Audio Control 6xs 6 channel electronic crossover
-Digital Designs C5C full range amplifier
Subwoofer
-Digital Designs 9512 supercharged 12" woofer
-Digital Designs M3b mono block amplifier
Misc
-0 gauge from front battery to Batcap.
-0 gauge from Batcap to M3b
-4 gauge from Batcap to C5C
-Custom box
-Custom kick panels for the highs. We even cut the WeatherTech floor mats to fit perfectly with the kick panels.
-Custom amp rack. The amp rack is painted the same color of my truck behind the amps and it lights up with "cool white" LEDs. Also The GMC logo covering the Batcap and crossover lights up red. The LEDs are hooked up to come on when the interior lights come on.
There's a 1" wood panel underneath because the plastic slides for the 3rd row seat stick up and we needed to make everything sit flush.
This system is basically 5 speakers. 2 highs, 2 mids, and 1 woofer. Everyone that listens to hear is absolutely blown away. No one can believe it's only 1 subwoofer and 1 set of mids and highs. It's clarity, loudness, and just overall sound is louder than any stereo I've ever had. It's also the most expensive stereo I've ever had.
And my friend who's shop we built it at uploaded a YouTube video of the system.
