Hey guys, so I'm new to the forum =). I have a 2011 Tahoe LT, Taupe metallic gray, shes at about 7,000 miles now and i love it... Although i've noticed recently that when taking turns at full, or almost full, tilt, the tires will squeek no matter how slowly i'm going. Its not that big of a deal, however it is pretty annoying when i'm parking. It draws a lot of attention and makes me feel a little uncomfortable lol. Anyone know the reason for this? The tires are new, have the right air pressure in them... their the upgraded factory 20"s if that matters. My assumption has been that its just the weight of the truck makes the tires squeek no matter what, but i figured I could get some confirmation. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks!
John

My 2008 z71 does the same thing. I think its just a symptom of sharp turning radius and camber angles. Not really a problem or anything you can do about it. I do agree it can be embarrassing in a parking lot though. Welcome to TYF!

 I hate people that stare unless it's because they're admiring the ride :)

It is also a disadvantage of having wide tires. My Corvette Grand Sport tires do it all the time when going around sharp corners say in a parking lot. I'm not embarrassed at all by it. I would be more embarrassed to have a car such as a Prius that is too quiet that people don't know it is there.

Mine does it too. Surprised and concerned me until I read this, but I guess its just a side effect of the impressive turn radius of these trucks.

Does everybody that have the tire squeek have the OEM Bridgestones? Our Tahoe does this too so I am wondering if anybody had different tires and still had the squeek.
