Sad part is I rarely ever open just the glass, usually the entire liftgate. I bet I don't use the glass but once a month.
But this morning I opened the glass because there was snow and ice on the bumper and didn't want to scratch the paint. Got to half way open and the contact on the left side of the glass broke off.
Good news is that my dealer took it right in and had it repaired in 10 minutes, no charge. Said it was the 3rd one he's done in 2 days. And said every time the temp drops they fix a few. So he stretched the coiled cord so there's less tension on it especially on the cold days.

Nice design GM!

yea but at least it dosent require replacement of the entire glass or you had to pay out of pocket.

No doubt! But dealer said if it breaks again the glass will need to be replaced. And he said the repaired joints typically only last a year or less. So it'll break again, just out of warranty.

That sucks, unfortunatley you start planning on replacing the glass. I didnt even make it out of the parking lot when their "repair" broke and they had to order the glass. Luckily mine was under extended warranty. Good luck hopefully yours holds.

mee too

glad I'm not the only one. lol.

My Denali driver side has been hanging there for months now. I tried to solder it 4 times and each time it holds for about 4 to 5 months and then there is again dangling like a little (explicit) bag I explicited it my self out of respect for the forum and the viewers.
