IMG_1097.JPG IMG_1284.JPG IMG_1488.JPG IMG_1489.JPG So I have replaced the following:
-spark plugs (all new ngk regular and I checked the gap which all were correct) /o'reillys
-spark plug wires (all) including one going to coil pack (new) /napa
-distributor cap (new) /napa
-rotor button (new) /o'reillys
-new water pump (old was leaking) /napa
-2 new heater hoses connected to radiator (just were old and time for changing)/napa
-new fuel filter /o'reillys
-sprayed cleaner on map sensor

Today I took off the throttle body and cleaned it VERY well with a PLASTIC brush and throttle body cleaner (b-12 I think)

Symptoms:
- stumbling/skipping under a load (such as going up hills or accelerating)
- hesitation when accelerating
- rough idle is come and go
-SES comes and goes

Codes:
-p0122 (TP or APP sensor 1)
-P0300 (engine misfire)
-p1121 (TP circuit intermittent high voltage)
-p1123 (TP circuit intermittent low voltage)
-p1351 (ignition coil 1&4 control circuit high voltage.

Other:
-In the pictures you'll see the rotor button metal piece almost completely gone but there was no difference on how it drove.
-less than 229,000 miles and all is original.
-the throttle positioning sensor (TPS) was replaced 5-6 years ago
-ps the clutch fan rotates to the left (counter-clockwise) to remove. Also you can get the water pump and the fan removed still attached together without damaging the little fins on the radiator.

Voltage looks good, believe it is supposed to be around .5 with throttle closed, ignition on and engine off.

I'll post the diagnostics for the TPS codes. The misfire code may be secondary and clear when the issue with the throttle position sensor is resolved.

These are for a 1998 Tahoe, I'd think that they would be the same for your 1999. Maybe they will help.

Code P1121
