Mystery Wire in Ex-Police Tahoe

I found a mystery wire in my engine bay, It has one end open that looks like it has a fitting to be attached to a power source. See photos, key is just to point it out in the wide shot. These are on the driver side.

My vehicle has a bunch of the aftermarket stuff from Kerr Industries, but I couldn't find this in their wiring diagram.

I would guess a siren or something used for the policing of people

thats a power wire, probly went to distribution block to power radio or other devices inside the cab.

I'm frustrated because I cant follow it since it goes into the black shroud and i cant find it on the other side of the firewall.

go to a stereo shop or some electrical supply, ask if they have a "toner". see if they will trace the wire for ya,, would take 2 mins.

I was going to say a fuel prime wire but that is to damn long so I will say it may be a power wire or auxiliary wire that travel to the back for battery charging or brake controller on trailer connection. Almost positive it is a power supply wire for trailer connector.

Looks like the power wire for the 7 pin trailer harness. Do you have a towing package with the round 7-pin plug?

To my knowledge if it is a police package it does not have a hitch or wiring

Yea, it has a full tow package
