If the head unit is completely unplugged from the harness it allows it to do a hard reset.

There have been similar situations in Esky where Non GM Navi disc were installed that did the same. The cure was to purchase the least expensive, older, OEM version of a Navi disc off the internet and load up from that.

There were issues with the previous and new DVD being burned copies. Installing the older disc worked to get the Navi back to solid ground, even though it had the older Navi data.

Pls post the site / seller you purchased it from so we’ll know to stay away.
