I went from a '96 Yukon with 150k to an '03 Suburban with 150k. Go with the NBS, it's an overall better vehicle. So much more comfortable, better ride, awesome creature comforts, and strong engine.

I get the same gas mileage out of both...

Got the OBS tagged and bagged today. I'm sticking with it based on the fact that I own it out right and I'm trying to be content. Plus there are a lot more parts to upgrade these with and this 350 really is a powerhouse. I'm not giving up on upgrading, but just not for me right now. Thanks for helping me with the decision!

just fyi ive owned both and ill say my 5.3 will ruin a 5.7 350 any day of the week power and fuel economy wise. and aftermarket is probably 10 times greater for the ls based engine vs the lt based. i respect your choice of owning it out right im not big on being in debt. with that said enjoy your new truck OBS will always be sweet rides

Thank you for the respect of me owning it.

However lol, I respect that the 5.3 has more get up. But Fuel economy is really relevant to the driver and 4x4 or 4x2 and your gears and tires and everything else. Aftermarket really depends on what you buy. Are you buying performance parts or replacement parts? So *** for tat? My OBS is my baby.
