1/17/2017 wheel bearings went on me and finally got them replaced. Also made a new plate for my bass knob and voltmeter in the factory cassette player location. Piece of 1/4” aluminum plastic welded to the replacement pocket did the job 657F09C5-235A-4C3A-BFF5-9556925865CE.jpeg2A71D29E-D221-4A72-8244-B9EDF75D89A1.jpeg7880A40B-DA9C-47FC-A0D3-261FBE2BC80C.jpeg932398C3-0FBC-4FBB-AEDD-47BFD8A0663E.jpeg5F74A7B4-A883-481D-9480-FD84AAD6284E.jpeg

1/28/2017 made a trip to Seattle to pick up a few odyssey 3150 batteries. At this point I was running a 5k amp with one 270 alt and two lead acid batteries under the hood. Not a good combo when voltage was constantly dropping to low 11’s. Had to add a few more grounds in the back so came up through the floor right by the seat bracket from the frame. Didn’t have a picture but yes those grounds were painted after install to avoid rust

2/10/17. I’m pretty sure I had already snagged the esky vents before this but it was the first picture I had that I found. Also was down at the loca stereo shop and they have me a deal I couldn’t refuse on a kenwood double din and metra dash bezel that happened to already be paint matched. 90FBED90-2B58-4DE5-96A3-BE0B995F1257.jpeg28F7B8AB-C403-4FAB-AA24-B9694AC2AFF1.jpeg7ECC4AC5-24C7-4DBB-8743-E6679C144EFA.jpeg0AC2E9A0-0B92-4D8F-9E97-FA614F47BC67.jpeg
3/9/2017 moving day! First time pulling the enclosed with the Tahoe. It did pretty well. 6F2600E0-9112-4CAA-A023-669A655B29EA.jpeg

3/24/2017. Time to upgrade subs in search of that 150db. Another trip to Seattle to pick up these 2 crossfire xsv2 15’s. Also grabbed another odyssey while I was up there. Made some aluminum buss bars for the back battery bank which I soon learned was a mistake. But I’ll get to that here soon. 39AC40F4-CBD2-4122-8A2B-031067413999.jpegE32D500A-7C6D-4262-BB4D-8ADED0B75B29.jpeg4F773480-5100-4A0B-BB46-1718EBFD8413.jpeg21F99E53-41AF-4A68-87F9-635D01C2D6EF.jpegA56346AA-FA5C-4786-B954-952DFC5D0ADB.jpeg

4/14/17 replaced the rest of the red wire I had under the hood with black wire and threw a pair of agms under the hood. Sometime before this I had went to the wrecking yard and pulled a batter tray out of a wrecked duramax for the passenger side so I could run dual batteries under the hood. 6892C2B1-FA84-467E-962D-A2450C2C3E2C.jpeg

Started doing some pretty crappy photo shop of different wheels cause I wanted to go bigger and these moto metals were my thought in a 20x10 but still wasn’t decided. EAB62907-B39B-4DA2-BC80-E5DBE5222F7D.jpeg

6/5/17. For some reason I dealt with the side post batteries and having way too many connections on them. finally was smart and got some threaded shafts and Allen bolts for the connections on the batteries. Used sky high 6 spot aluminum bolt terminals on the stock battery with the bolts and since I only had a couple connections on the other side I used the threaded shafts with a lock nut. 3/8-16 is the thread pitch if I remember correctly. Cleaned things up and allowed a tighter connection

Picked up a couple pairs along with some flush mount pods for reverse lights. Still love how bright both of these are. And still work great to this day. The switchbacks are jdm astar brand and the pods were his rl lighting brand that I’m sure are just relabeled ones from China or something but they have worked great. Learned my lesson of measure twice and cut once. Put the pods a little too far out to the edge of the bumper and had to notch the inner corner bumper brace :emotions34:

6/9/17 remember when I said it was a mistake using those aluminum buss bars? Well this is why. I didn’t have a battery box or tray to make sure they were perfectly level and flat so the Outer battery terminal got stressed and cracked the case. Leaking a little onto the carpet :favorites68::emotions122: ended up replacing the battery and aluminum bars with 2/0 cable jumpers. 0028A89D-3BD2-457C-932F-C9CE63845888.jpeg69D4C870-B6A3-4883-ABB3-F2048210680E.jpeg
6/11/17 my cousin was in town from Florida visiting and hadn’t really seen much of the northwest so we went for a drive up the local mountain and found a mud hole. Stupid me I had a audio competition two weeks later so ended up having to deep clean the engine bay after mud and water got on everything. 6/25/17. Had a local audio comp. first one for me during the 2017 season. Got everything cleaned up and added another fan for the amp cause it was getting hot fairly quick. Finally reached my 150 goal with the 15’s. 150.8 clamping 4698 watts. Took first in suv 3 at that show. It was 100°+ that day and no ac was fun. Windows down only. Since I bought the Tahoe in the winter of 16 I didn’t check to make sure the ac worked like an idiot. Lesson learned. Compressor was shot so the first two summers with the Tahoe weren’t the most fun Because I didn’t replace the compressor. At least where I live summers aren’t scorching hot. Also drove around like a rolling billboard for a couple months to try to advertise for surf city. At this point the stickers were starting to get out of hand with all the different colors and so many on the rig.
