I have bad luck around April fools almost every year. so on that note 4/5/18 headed out to my dads shop. Remember hearing what sounded like a large rock flying off my tire into my inner rear wheel well. (Well it wasn’t a rock). Unaware something was in my tire it decided to release and as soon as I stopped at my dads shop it went flat and de beaded. Had to get a plug in it but never had a problem with said plug so oh well. 6748E676-36E1-4B90-8CDC-0CDF5D7E8BE6.jpeg 3CBC01F0-8D99-4174-8656-34DD32FF2053.jpeg
4/14/18. One of my speakers decided it wasn’t happy and separated. Good thing they were still under warranty. So got that fixed and found a black exhaust tip BC0FC538-3DDA-4DE3-A5B6-E6E667AEC380.jpegB27A4BFA-D6C7-4E61-BD60-022B10ABBE47.jpeg BC255B91-25D0-49AC-A265-E3320817112A.jpeg

4/18/18. So at some point before this I sold my crossfire 15’s and my soundigital 8k. Started looking to buy a house, therefore audio was on the back burner, after a few months of ****** housing market and annoyance I gave up for now. Audio was back to being important. Got a pair of dc audio level 4 12” subs for a good price. Threw together a quick enclosure out of birch Plywood and stained it black(before I knew how to properly use wood stain I might add). 615F6EA7-42C4-40EB-BB10-6594C9060900.jpeg6D58EA06-F3AE-4ABA-B92A-662B242A0377.jpegDD9B6F87-9EB6-46E0-96D9-4C1B7ABA2825.jpeg7CF57F92-CE29-4CFB-A404-30E58826BCE3.jpeg92804CE7-88CD-4656-B3D4-7AF414C6C1C9.jpeg

5/4/19 so I have my plan now for what I’m gonna do build wise for audio equipment. Season has pretty much started at this point and I’m late af. So I start ordering stuff. First was these ds18 hard plastic grilles for the front doors. A little more flashy than I like but it matches the green theme at least.0AEA390E-5CA8-4833-8DF1-F7A8EB8789E0.jpeg
Also decided to redo my plate for the bass knob and voltmeter. Did it this way for a reason. 3C8A7365-95EE-4239-AE6B-37331AD01AC8.jpeg
5/11/18. Four boxes came with dc audio logos wonder what they could be?! F3AF3424-D8C5-458A-AED1-218383126C08.jpeg

4 more level 4 12’s arrived. Plan for the build is gonna be 6 of these 12’s with my next purchase to power them.
5/15/19 sundown “clipo” version ns1 came in. 6 12’s wired at .67 ohm on a 6500 watt amp should be pretty good. 8DECE6E9-DBBE-45E6-98B2-7C1A1665C099.jpeg842F43C4-EAEA-4ECE-9E07-17D5EB67D072.jpeg
5/26/18
Got a new job(current place of work). They started me out of the office 45 min south of me. In prep for 90 mile a day drive I picked up another civic for a daily driver. Paid 1000 bucks, 150k original miles, original window sticker, and a clean title. Works for me within a week or two I had to get rid of those 13” steel wheels. Found some newer civic 15’s. Works for me. 1EB14F1B-C92C-4A53-9D5A-52AF0B189B5C.jpeg4D7D7E5C-148E-4752-AC4D-9630B7F7C485.jpeg

5/27/19. A couple issues happened.

sooo this was my own fault. Didn’t check my dmm when I bought these subs to realize it was broken because it was reading a ohm off. So these subs were dual 1 ohm not dual 2 ohm as I had thought. Just bought 4 more dual 2 ohm and I’m running out of time go finish this build, at least for surf city. Well dc audio is the best and got me recones very quickly and I was able to recone them. Kind of worked out nicely cause these were older models that had a different looking dust cap and surround so they now match 7C695A63-7C8E-49F1-8201-CDF34A7B6561.jpeg 678D9C46-CD20-4F27-A12F-CBA2395E82C2.jpeg
6/4/18 is when I took this picture I think for the fact of the scan gauge...Idk hahaha either way I got one of those off a buddy (behind turn signal arm) it works amazing plus lets me watch intake temps and actual coolant temps etc. BB921051-B679-4C09-9E12-FCA4337BD682.jpeg

6/13/18 after listening to my roof sounding like a tin can with bass I decided it was time for some sound deadener. Ordered a bunch of ampere audio vibraflex 160mil, too many cans of spray foam, and a bag of loctite ulimate grab glue tubes for a caulking gun. Found out my center brace in the front was separated from the roof skin. Along with the rear crossmember above the cargo area. 28C2BBC6-E0B3-4E93-BF3C-3B84B51EA71C.jpeg E0F4F205-658A-448D-A0BF-29E4B1CCDC83.jpeg

Used the loctite tubes for the cross braces, spray foam for all the in betweens and dead spaces and then layered the deadener starting front and working to the back. This was quite the task I will say. The vibraflex is not only thick as shit but when it’s cold it’s as still as a board. Not your standard deadener and was perfect to help stiffen our flimsy crappy thin roofskins. You get it hot enough you can shape it around anything though 7B76E6A5-EF0E-4AAD-845E-B311726F8B6B.jpeg F703C1D1-175A-4E4E-8CDC-61ACE017B170.jpeg B7D131E6-37F3-44A9-95A1-2747BCA8CBBA.jpeg

6/24/18 Texas speed longtube headers and catless y pipe came in!!! I have no clue why I didn’t take pictures during this install and I’m kind of mad I didn’t. Headers went on easy. Used stage 8 locking fasteners. The y pipe was kind of a ***** and had to do some prying to get it off the front driveline. Besides that though I am a year and a half with these and no complaints. With these headers I also deleted the egr, rear o2’s, and cats of course. It’s still the same stock exhaust with a flowmaster 40. Sounds good and isnt overbearing unless you put it to the floor and even then it’s not bad. Luckily a good friend of mine specializes in tuning ls series engines with efi live. So I had him throw a custom tune on it. A7955AE5-BD71-4456-A41C-E79B8CC1E400.jpeg BB514B0D-FC54-4D72-AF3E-8C10AB39CC1C.jpeg
6/28/19 picked up a mechman 370 elite series alt. Second one is on order at this point. Love the black powder coated case on these. Also added a fan under the seat again. The ns1 ain’t exactly small and easy to shove under the seat. 4FD509BF-09DA-466B-8543-9C4AEAB83200.jpegD8E5DBB0-6D3D-41A0-A702-9CDB2478BFFF.jpeg DA9C7CB5-E129-4073-87DC-37678F3C04E0.jpeg

7/4/18-7/6/18 the second alt came in and not that it’s hard to throw on.......until the mounting ear splits :mad:9AE9A4B9-4518-40FB-AAFA-EED7F7746B43.jpeg 194830DD-0E34-4C30-8C8F-D12B99274009.jpeg
Since the dual alt bracket basically holds everything together it will work and has worked just basically sandwiched together. Haven’t had a problem yet and once I have to mess with the power steering pump again I will swap out that factory side bracket. Finally got my baby back to my house and tucked in the garage safe and sound. 69 c20, was my Very first truck and will stay with me forever. 6801BCE8-6519-4C62-8E60-1E32DB66BF07.jpeg
