Necessary to use load resistor for led with DRL???

As the title says... Will I need to use load resistors if i install led for my DRL's???

No. The only problem is with LED turn signals. They will blink too fast without resistor.

You do have to install resistors in line with the DRL wire because it has a pulsing voltage and will toast LED quick.
I went through that issue a couple of times before putting the resistors in line and have been fine since.

Where would be the best place to mount the load resistors cause I know they get really hot.

actually contact superbrightleds.com and ask them, i dont remember the part number but i didnt have to run resistors with drls, just with the turns you will need them

Seems like all the 3157 LED bulbs I have found for DRL say Not Suitable for GM Daytime Running Lamps. Am I missing something?

I got some of vleds and no load resistor need . It's only for turn signals

I'll test it out and see if it will work without the load resistor... If it goes out, I'll know for sure if it needs to go on...lol

I'm running a set on my Denali for almost a year now with no resistors and have zero complaints. I got them from v-leds--I went back to my order to get a part# but they are sold out and doesn't look like they are making any more of that specific type.
