Need 4 lifters

They are replacing lifters and rollers. Not sure what else, but a 2015 should not need anything. There is a bulletin for lifters. I hope they get it right. Gas mileage was a little lower than normal and a pretty good engine had started to sound like a high mileage engine.

Anyone else get this?

AFM type engines both GM, Honda etc are having problems with the cylinder shutdown technology forced on them by federal government. The money saved in fuel savings will be spent to replace these parts or rebuild engines. The best safeguard is to spend the money to buy a tuner that will bypass the shutdown system. There is a reason those special lifters fail - lack of lubrication certainly plays a role - poor design and manufacturing as well. GM is expanding the roll out of these motors, more owners will be paying the price.

just one more "enviromentally friendly" thing thats like you said forced on us by the government just like the catalytic converter that does precisely nothing for the enviroment

So, they fixed the ticking sound, but I still hear a whining sound coming when I give some gas in park. Also, when in auto 4wd it feels like 4 hi. My other awd cars and trucks can stay in auto all of the time. it only works when needed.
