So I've been having a rattle in my exhaust that started only when it was really cold out and got bad enough to where it rattles at any temp so I brought it to a local exhaust shop that I've had very good luck with in the past and he showed me the rattle when he hit the cat. He said it would he $200 installed. Sounds like a good price to me but I figured I would check here before I had it done. I've also thought about maybe trying to find a cheaper one online and just having them weld it in. I had them fab up some piping and re attach my girlfriends muffler on her jetta and it only cost me $45 so they work for pretty cheap. So if anyone has had good luck with a particular one please let me know.

$200 is a good price in my opinion, wish the cat that I have rattling on our Jetta was that cheap!

$200 installed is a steal. Both my cats got plugged up and died fall of last year. Dealer wanted $1200 for new ones. I said no way. Ended up buying Flowmaster aftermarket cats from Amazon with the assembly for $400, and had a local shop put it in. So, $200 is sounding really good to me.

Yeah I figured that was as cheap as I was going to get. I honestly don't know how this place makes money. It's not a nice place by any means but everyone I know that has gone here says there bills are way lower than any other place. Guess that just shows the mark up some shops give.

I am actually thinking about buying some magnaflows on amazon. They are $108 a piece so if you bought those and had a shop weld them in or you used clamps it wouldn't be too bad on the wallet
