Lucked out and got a 20% off coupon when buying on ebay using paypal so I was able to pick up 2 DSC2000.1Ds for $450 shipped from sonic electronix. That is 4-4.5kw at 2 ohms.
The 3000 audiopipe is two 1500s in one case so the 3000rms rating is at 2 ohms, and will go into protect is played at 1 ohm.
What are you powering? 3-4kw *might* be overkill.
Kevin
naw not overkill, just right
yea i know the 3000 is 2 1500d in 1 case. depending on how wired its 1500x2 at 1ohm or 3000x1 at 2ohm....
im liking the audiopipe 3500 so far and i can get it for 415.
i have a friend thats a dealer and he hasnt had 1 return or bad amp in 4 years so i know they're reliable.
im running a id max12 with a cadence A7 right now.. ive had this system since 2004. time for an upgrade and a lot more lowend
2 dsc2000's or any 1500+ watt maxxsonics amps for that matter. the crunch 3000 is a freakin beast. crunch name or not... still maxxsonics and put out every ounce of rated power
the dsc2000's arent made anymore last i checked.
im gonna run 2 audioque hdc3-15a's or 18s..with 1500-2000rms each

i just got an offer for a ap3000 for only $225, so i think ima do it and maybe upgrade later.
1500rms on these subs hardly even get them started. my cousin has a db drive 2000.1 with 1 hdc315(not aluminum coil) and its slams and actually sounds good playing r&b or jazz.
