you cant powdercoat a rearend for a few hundred bucks. youll have to pull out everything to the shell then rebuild it back up. (putting the rearend in the oven at 400 and something degrees probably isnt good for bearings and seals lol)

didnt read through the whole post... but I have to say that if you think that is bad, might as well buy brand new, or go down south....

I live in central Wisconsin, and the under body of my truck has been well preserved and looks identical to that, maybe a little better... and mines a 96...

that frame is fine. clean it up and throw some paint or por15 on it.

i wire brushed the shit out of mine, threw on a good coat of rustoleum rusty metal primer followed by a couple thick coats of rustoleum semi gloss black. lasted pretty well over the last 2-3 years. will probably touch it up this summer and do the wheel wells along with it.

it's fine. Wire brush and paint, call it done. The leaking rear is a $10 gasket

exactly what i was thinking. if you think that rust is bad you should come here and look at cars. ive seen newer trucks than that with rust comming out of the fenders and door panels
