Yep.So take the wire going to where the "brake" light would be and put the resistor between that and the black ground wire?
Don't cut any wires in two. And don't pay attention to the new lights wires. In your vehicle wiring harness there will be one wire that gets power when you step on the brakes. Don't cut it, use a "T" splice to attach one end of the resistor to it, then attach the other end to a ground point on the vehicle. I can take a picture this weekend if you want to wait.I'm having issues loading images to this computer. The new LED tail has 4 wires from the light for the brake light alone. 2 black, 1 white, 1 red. Am cutting one of the blacks in 2 and putting the resistor in between? I'm sorry, I'm very visual, so not having a good video is screwing me. Anyone have a good link?
