I need to get some brakes on my Tahoe. It is a 96 4WD with 32" tires. I want something that will give a stronger grab. I want to get some new brakes pads, lines, and rotors for the front and maybe swap the rear drums out for disc. Also does anyone swap the master cylinder out for the Hydroboost setup and if so what parts are used? I PM'd R1 Concepts and am waiting for him to let me know about the stainless lines. On my Yukon XL I did 14" SSBC rotors F/R and their 3 piston calipers on the front. Obviously since I don't have the 22" wheels on this like I did that truck I can't go that big but I would like to get a much better feeling brakes on this truck than OEM

If you have any junkyards by you, best bet is to grab the whole hydroboost setup.. lines with the pedal and etc. or you can buy an OEM used setup for around 200bucks. This is probably the biggest bang for the buck.. rear discs dont doo much, more less for appearance

thats the SSBC kit

Check our site sponsors for good deals. I saw some decent prices on r1concepts. This is my first rodeo w/ a tahoe, but the prices looked good to me.

lines, power slots and hawk or EBC pads will help.

Hydroboost.....this is good.

I've also read that a NBS master will help since the bore is larger allowing more pressure to hit the existing set ups.

I have to call them back in the morning, my last "answer" from them was that they "Should" have them but they had to get back to me and that hasn't happened yet. I will call them back in the morning and find out for sure, but if they don't, we have other sources where I should be able to get them for you. Please forgive the delay...

you can get SS hose line set for about $80 at amazon. it is not that complicated.

Yes but part of being a part of a forum is supporting the vendors. Understanding that shouldn't be that hard

PM me when you find out. I need rotors, pads and lines for my 96 4wd Tahoe ASAP
