My 2003 Tahoe yesterday the instrument gauges and digital odometer are not working. Today they also arent working and where the digital odometer section is has a read out of small boxes( looks chineese ) . Maybe someone in this forum has been down this road and can help me pin point the problem before I take it to a repair shop. Again like always are your input is appreciated. Thank you :emotions133:

Sounds like the ip (instrument panel) went out, common problem for some of these. You can replace it yourself fairly easily and the part is available from your local Advance Auto parts store. I believe they are around $275 or so. May take a few days for them to get it since they will need your mileage and some other info. There are videos online like youtube that will help you if you don't know how to take it out. Pretty simple, less than 10 minutes to replace. We've replaced a few here at our shop. Hope this helps.

Can you afford $120?

The Gauge Pro (on eBay seller RIDER193) will completely rebuild your cluster, all new stepper motors and your choice of color LED lighting or stock lighting, does excellent work super fast turn around. He does it for $120 that includes return shipping. He's on break till Apr 21 but he does perfect work. Better than new

If you want to do it yourself its not that hard, but it can be a pain, you need new stepper motors and you need to re-solder your LCD contacts and you'll be back in business - plenty of videos on youtube on the subject

Thank you for the response. The price sounds to be very good. I still havent moved forward with this as it seems to be working on and off. Will keep you posted once I replace it though.
