Hey guys, I need a little help finding paint to match my interior. I need to paint a trim piece I'm using to fit an aftermarket head unit. I was wondering if anyone knew of any websites where I could order paint that would exactly match the beige dash in my truck? I already tried the "Saddle" Color Bond from www.LMCTruck.com and that was too light. The only website I've found so far is www.Latemodelrestoration.com. The problem is for the color code for my truck (641) there are 3 additional options, light, medium, and dark. How do I know which one I need? I will try to go to an auto body place tomorrow and see if they have samples I can use to help determine the color. I added a picture to show the color I am looking for and circled the part I am painting. Thanks.

Try auto zone duplicolor paints, sometimes they have really good matches for interior. Or find a local paint shop around town. They should be able to mix the right color and put it in a spray can.

If you're looking for interior paint, it's a good idea to check into SEM paint. I would call the guys at http://www.vinylpro.com/ and see if there is a SEM code for your interior color. The SEM surecoat is an elastomeric paint which means it works well for pieces that bend and flex, as it's a flexible paint. I've been painting interior for a couple months now, off an on trying to match colors etcetc. Trust these guys! Buy what they say, do it how they say and even get a little **** about it.

The toughest part about repainting the interior IS the matching.

Also just a heads up, when they say clean the piece with plastic prep until it's a dull finish...they REALLY mean a dull finish. Take a green pad, rub the plastic with it hard and IMMEDIATELY wipe it off with a clean rag. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about, it's amazing...took me a while to get it right.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I looked all over the place for matching spray paint with no success. I also tried a local paint place to see if they could match the color but they said they wouldn't be able to put it in a spray can. He also didn't think there was any place nearby that could. I will try calling about the SEM paint.
