If you cut the bumpstops it would not make your truck any lower unless the bumpstops are the only thing holding the truck at that height in which case you are way lower then 4" anyways.

Yup. The function of bumpstops is basically a last line of defense for the frame from the axle. Your springs control height, whic is why making them taller with spacers increases your ride height. I have the same setup on mine and cut the bumpstops like tony suggested, and have yet to bottom out. I might get bigger spacers too, for the same reason of extra load and to achieve a slight rake, but its really for looks. That's what it comes down to. If you don't like the way it sits, spacers are your best bet. If you're bottoming out with that kit, cut the bumpstops.

Thanks guys.....I do like the look now, but I don't like it when I have a load in The rear... The back drags lower with a load...... I like my truck to have a lil rake look to it...... This way when I have a load, it will look the way it sits now......... I will cut the bumbstops and add another 1" spacer, hopefully that will give me the slight rake look I'm looking for without the rear drag look when I have a full load...... Again I will post pic when I get home.....FYI...... I have pic and a video on my other thead ( just dropped the hoe) when I first installed the kit... If u guys like to see it....

Hey guys, which way would u go... An.extra 1" spacer on top, or just remove spacer on bottom and replace it with a 2" spacer?

I don't have experience there, bud, sorry. I know Sumo has a 2" spacer and likes it. Here's a link to the 2" spacers I'm thinking about:

Good luck, let us know what you decide to do, and post up pics when you do it!

I have an '03 XL and had the same problem. I finally did the free travel mod on the rear and cut off the front stops and added short poly stops. That took care of it. These behemoths have a lot more suspension travel than you realize. Removing the factory stops gives you several inches B4 the stops make contact.
