Hey whats up guys, been a long time since I've gotten to work on the tahoe. Basically my truck got broken into last year and they tore apart my dash and I just got a new dash bezel and I want to repaint it black along with my center console and glove box. I've got new flat black trim paint and I took the center console out and washed it was a rough scrub pad and dawn soap but what do I need to clean it with now to remove %100 everything and make sure the paint will stick well to it? Im not sure what the best solvent is and I'm ready to finish cleaning and put a few coats on them to get it all buttoned up. Thank you!

scrub the parts with a dish soap solution. that should clean up most of the oils. final wipe with just some plain old rubbing alcohol
