Hi every one,

To keep the story short today I was racing another car (not much BMW760) the thing is I started to smell a plastic burn smell (STRING) I had to slow down and let bass

But I needed to know why??

The last changes has been done is:
- Installing the "Street Mufflers - Super 50 Series"
- changing front brake bads

Problems I have so far:
- Code p0430 and P0420.
- bad shocks (I think)
- I found wires under the tahoe rear corner if the driver side but it is not connected to a thing (I think)

Today I am going to do a full check ubder the truck to see if any thing will show up.

Oh yah and the smell mostly coming from the passenger side near front wheel

I am here today so get some pics of what you are seeing but If I may:

If you mean left rear corner of the suv, like near a tail light those may be your towing power adapter wires use to power and control trailer system such as power supply, brakes and lighting. As for the plastic smell from the right front wheel area. Make sure your rubber/plastic skirt that covers the opening in the wheel well is not coming loose and hitting the wheel.

The DTC mean your converters are no good anymore and must be replaced. I know that it is likely that they are not required where you live but it is best to have them working correctly regardless. 1-They create the proper operating conditions where your engine does not act like it's cam profile is out of whack. 2-Keeps the engine power band accurate as when it was designed and built. 3-It keeps your light off. 4-It makes for a cleaner running vehicle emissions wise.

Thats great I will try my to do it today,

Aha ok so those are .. aha so great I will use it to get the signal for the reverse sensors I am planning to install.

Back to subject, I am planning to change the wheels actually I have them already but I can't fit them I need to machine a ring to fill the space between the rim and the center so i need to wait for the weekend

I checked the wheels and breaks too I can say it came from the front beaks and today morning I noticed I can feel it shaking when I apply the breaks I guess thats it I am shifting to simi ceramic I can't believe how bad it is and it is making squik noise when I applied the breaks like if it us done!!

Kinda looks like some uneven wear on the pad on the forth picture down but otherwise uneventful from my end. I can not see the inner side of them tho. If the shaking is happening when breaking it is usually indicative of a worn steering component. A warped rotor would likely be felt as pulsation in the pedal and a overheated spot, for lack of a better term, would feel like lurching for and aft as you slow down to a stop. You should use only semi-metallic not ceramic for the suv They can deal braking better. Delco still has the part numbers listed but personally I use Hawk SD pads with slotted rotors myself.

True exactly what I feel l, on my previous suv I used the ceramic pads + rotors and the result was grear but now the shipping cost for the rotors are high therefore I will use new stock rotors + the pads you are using

Quick input from my experience yesterday. Got stock rotors and regular brakes but did the nbs master cylinder upgrade. Was haulin my 5th gen yesterday and had to brake from 75 to 0 in a couple hundred feet if that. We did it but barely almost smacked into a semi or taurus. If i woulda had the obs master cylinder we would have crashed.... Really recommend doing the nbs master cylinder upgrade if you still want better braking

Thank you for the advice and yes I will start searching locally for the parts but I will install it with new stock rotors an Hawks pads.

Next up grade is this :)
