Post it in the 1999-2005 forum...not gonna get much help here for that.Factory radio harness has been cut but last owner I need a wire diagram for a 04 Tahoe with Bose audio
After a series of disasters in my life my wife is wealthy, I'm poor. So I found a sweet 2008 Yukon XL with high miles, but really well maintained. Ran great for 4 months until one day as I rolled to a stop the motor shut off. Starter spun, but wouldn't engage so I had it towed. The mechanic said the timing chain jumped a tooth or something similar. I asked if he looked at the combustion chambers for damage and after a couple of weeks of going back and forth he grudgingly pulled the left side plugs. Can't see the valves, but the pistons all looked fine. He wanted to sell me a used motor for $10k. I almost gagged. Told him to just check the timing chain and change whatever is bad. So after another three weeks he pulled it apart. Here's the interesting part. The tensioner broke and the cam gear (assuming the cam is still on top) had broken teeth. Good enough. Please put a new set on and when you reassemble, please put in a new seal and a pump. Don't want to do this again. So he agrees and after a week or so of ball busting he puts it back together. Here;'s the fun part. It won't start. He says the valves may be so bad that it won't start. I'm not sure how the mechanical valve timing thing works and had no more arguments so I opted to have it towed home. The battery had 3.4v available so I charged it up and ... starter spins and won't engage. Never even turned over. Question is does the ECM control this and would it be fair to say it's not engaging for a reason, or perhaps the solenoid magically stopped working when the "timing chain jumped a tooth?" I considered just jumping the solenoid, but frankly I''m afraid to admit the motor might be smarter than I am. Anyone have a clue? Appreciate any comments. Oh, so after I paid the bill I was heading home to find a wrecker and my 1997 Tahoe died. Pretty sure it's the fuel system, but now both of them are down leaving me with shoeleather for travel. Sweartagaad it's the story of my life. Thanks.

you can possibly find your needed diagram in the gm upfitter guide, it's free online just google for it.
I would suggest going to a salvage yard, and just cutting off a pig tail with all the wiring. Then you can Solder/Heat Shrink it back together for a factory radio wiring harness.Factory radio harness has been cut but last owner I need a wire diagram for a 04 Tahoe with Bose audio
